Even though I'm not the expert, I can try to answer your questions since I used AP this year.

1. Your H1-B will still be valid after you used AP.
2. Your I-94 has the same number and will not be affected by AP. You don't need to renew the AP for keeping the validation of the I-94.

Don't worry. Juse go ahead to use AP and nothing will be affected.
