申请LC期间可否接受PROMOTION?

我两年前申请RIR （EB2）,至今没有音信。去年公司准备给我PROMOTION，职责和原来没有太大区别，但TITLE变了，工资也高了不少（大约30%）。我咨询了给我办RIR的律师，律师说这样对我的申请不利，建议我不接受。可我当时觉得机会难得，还是接受了PROMOTION。请问高人，这样对LC和将来申请140到底有什么影响？
