Question about 140 RFE for experience letter,so confused!

Basing on the contents of my I140 RFE notice. The 24 monthes of experiences
can be counted till the PD of the PERM.
It looks like that I can use the expeirence before PD in my current company,
but I also heard that the 24 monthes of experiences must be gained before I
joined in my current company.
so my question is which one is correct?
