Urgent! AP

I concurrently filed NIW I-140 & I-485 to VSC on Sept. 28, 2005 and yesterday I got a notice that my cases have been transferred to NSC. Before that, I got my EAD approval on Jan 16, 2006.

Now I am having some family emergency and need to go back to china on July. Since my I-140 is still waiting for approval, can I get the AP from the local immigration office? Is it too risky for me to go home?

Can anyone help me? thank you very much.
