need help for H1

I got a new work at a company. My old advisor hope me work for him at my spare time and he also want to pay me some money. The question is could i use my old h1 visa work for my old advisor until it expire and the same time work for the new company with new h1 visa? If i do so, is there any effection for my future greecard application?
