Could someone tell me the duration of B1 Visa? still half year?

My mother will visit me. She will apply for B1 visa. Would someone tell me that now the duration of B1 visa is still half year and after the first hald year she can apply for another half year? Someone told me that now the duration is 2 years, is that correct?
