有关Immigration Reform与H-1B

在大家关注的Immigration reform里，有关H1B名额问题也一直在争议之中，而至今The House和The Senate仍未能统一意见。

就此问题，布什总统已经多次要求向Congress增加H-1B的名额，但Congress仍未作出最后的决定。而Senator Arlen Specter’s (R, Pa) immigration reform bill之前提议每年65,000的H-1B名额增加至115,000，但由于Republicans与Democrat不能同时通过而还是最后落空。

支持增加H-1B名额的人士寄望有关条例能早日通过。同时，不少雇主如IBM, Cisco, Apple, Oracle等已经写信到Congress，催促要求增加名额。有关最新消息，请密切留意本网站。
