Help about past Chinese communist membership, 请小白兔，2分钱等

My American hu*****and helped me apply for the green card. I reported my past Chinese Communist membership because my hu*****and did not want me to lie. We will have an interview soon. Because a friend having the same problem was checked recently, I am very nervous about my interview. Will the past communist members be always checked and or denied? What can I do so that I can pass the interview? Is it possible to ask some persons having some power to help? In addition, the Chinese documents, how can I translate to English? Do I have to find some certified persons to translate them? Thanks a lot!
