change nationality during J-1

If I change my nationality during J-1 visa holding period in US, do I need to re-apply for the J-1 Eligibilty (IAP 66), or just carrying the existing IAP 66 and old and new passport to re-apply for the J-1 visa(sticker on passport) in the US embassy in the new country? How about my family member? They are still holding China passport.
