One solution you can change your visa from J-1 scholar to student at the US customs so you can stay here longer than your daughter.
the 2nd your daughter has to go the 3rd country to have her visa changed, which is a high risk way for her;
the 3rd way for you, change your visa to O visa,
the 4th, find a position in Canada, then go to there so that your daughter can continue her study.
