You are holding Canadian passport. You do not need an H-1B visa (stamp in passport) in order for you to return to the U.S. All you need is a valid passport and H-1B approval. You apply for the admission as an H1B temporary worker at any port of entry. I suggest you bring a letter from the H-1B employer to show you are still working for the company.
