You may call USCIS to try speeding your AP,sometimes you may be issued AP same day if you found Mr /Ms right,ask to talk with the supervisor of I-131 section of the CIS service center & explain about your mother's situation ,he/she may do it.If lucky,you'll receive it in a few days.
