Your boss won't pay a penny; the UI insurance will pay for it, though he will pay higher premier after this. Each state has different law about how much and how long (duration) you can get it, however, you 'd better stay at this state, and otherwise you need file a transfer. It might be not easy for you as they might claim the you left the company at your will to the UI officer, which will cause a lot of trouble. I fight for it, and finally, the officer made the decision in my favor, and then,the company filed a appeal, a long story. You deserve it; there is nothing to shame about it. Google it online
