How to answer RFE of I-140 NIW? please help!

I-140 NIW do-it-myself, filed on 12/23/05 and just got a RFE on 3/16/06. The first item is the most tricky:

Eligibility for the requested waiver entails demonstrating that the national interest would be adversely affected if a labor certificate were required. You must demonstrate that it would be contrary to the national interest to potentially deprive the prospect employer of your service by making available to US workers the position you seek.

I am a researcher working in a US university (doing some cancer drug discovery research). The university may apply a LC for me but that could take a long time. Could someone got NIW approved recently kindly share me the ideas how to convincingly prove USCIS the national interest would be adversely affected if a LC required?
