So your suggestion is to travel aboard using my current H-4 visa and when I come back, I start applying H-1B visa, right?

I heard that I can not leave out of country if my H-1B application is pending. Does it mean I can only travel after I get my H-1B approval and use my H-1B to leave US and come back? But it seems that this H-1B can only be valid after Oct. 1st. I am little confusing....

Any input is appreciated.
