这是我律师去年对我说的：


After the acquisition, will the acquiring employer still maintain an office in the same city? If yes, is there a possibility that the acquiring employer will hire you on? If yes, your labor certification case can be salvaged under the "successor in interest doctrine"---where the new employer can take over as the sponsor. Successors-in-interest are companies that acquire assets/liabilities of the prior company. Some of my corporate clients are always in the process of acquiring other companies and we are usually able to salvage the acquired companies existing labor certification/immigrant visa cases.
