请问小白兔：邮寄申请续工卡打手印问题？

485 pending due to name check
EAD expired 01/30/2006
renew EAD application mailed 12/05/2005
USCIS received 12/12/2005
I called USCIS and they told me they will arrange my fingerprint appointment asap,and I should wait till 03/13/2006.If I do not receive any FP appointment letter or EAD until 03/13/06,I should call them again.
难道续工卡都要重新作指模吗？不是说邮寄申请就不用的吗？
