You can fly to China today and then return with your GC. After natualization, you must use American passport to return --> You have to apply for passport and then get visa from a Chinese consulate. More time to wait.

Also, questions about English ability and US history are usually given orally during interview. The written test (in Chinese) is for eligible seniors.
