Emergency HELP PLEASE!!! about my EAD? I appreciate your help

Dear friends:

I was a f-1 student and apply an EAD for my OPT in Sep. 2005. In Sep, 2005, my hu*****and filed I-140&1-485. His company lawyer only apply EAD for him and told me that I can use my old EAD for OPT. I went back China in Jan and came back USA with AP. The lawyer still told me that I could use the old EAD because there is a memo that I can use old EAD by controlling regulation at: 8 CFR Section 274a.12(c)(9). But yesterday, when I went to my new job institution, the director of the international officer told me that my EAD for OPT expired. The lawyer called the director several times and for sure they didn't agree with each other.

So I want to ask experts in this forum about this. What is the fastest way that I can get a work authorization or visa in this case?
