In the H-1B rule, those who do not have a four-year college degree can still establish eligibility for the specialty occupation through evaluation of his/her progressive work experience. Three years of progressive work experience is considered equal to one year in college. Thus, those who just have a high school education can establish the special occupation if they have 12 years of progressive experience in the specific field of specialty.
