any method t ocover the OPT and H1 gap?

My opt will expire this June and the H1b for 2007 will not be available until october 1 even if i submit application after April 1. How can I cover these three months gap? I know i could transfer to H4, but I could n't work with H4. Any method to enable me to work legally during that period? What should i do? please share your experience.thx
