能否向律师要回$1000 non-refundable deposit

办绿卡的时候，教了$1000 的押金给律师后，过了一段时间又决定自己办了，现在140批了。明知道合同上写的是non-refundable.但还是觉得律师还没开始帮忙呢，1000美元就这么没了。。。。。

有那位有相似的经历，你们试过想把押金要回吗？
