Help: Why I didn't receive I140 receipt?

I am a nurse, a hospital agreed to hire me and pay for GC application. After their lawyer filed my case, I received receipt numbers for I765, I485, and AP but no 140 receipt number, I called the lawyer and asked her why, she said that the employer should have the receipt number and not me. It's that correct?
