You don't have to inform the USCIS for sure. You have no obligation to volunteer your current difficult situation to them. Usually, it is their job to figure that out and start questioning you about it. If you can find your new primary H1B sponsor within a month, you are still considered as maintaining your status. Sometimes, your current primary H1B sponsor might report to USCIS about your leaving although that is not required by law. Therefore, you need to talk to them and request them not to report it or at least delay in reporting. I just sent you an silent message. Please check it out for more information.
