Any experts can explain the FP codes ?

Hi, all
Recently many people come here to ask questions about FP different codes, like code 1, 2 and 3, some person did code 3, then still code 2, and I did code 3 only last March.
So I am wondering if any experts can make this clear, why we got different codes, what's the difference?
