AP Question, asking Xiaobaitu and other masters

Hi,
I received an e-mail from USCIS on 1/30/06 saying that my I-131 was approved and an approval notice has been mailed on that day. On 2/3/06 I received another e-mail saying that the documents made based on the approval of this case have been mailed to the applicant directly by mail on that day.
So far I have received none of those two after 10 days.
Are the AP approval notice and the documents for AP the same thing? Do you guys receive an approval notice before receiving the real AP?
Is it normal that I have to wait for more than a week to receive anything from USCIS? I am in California. Since my finger print notice got returned to USCIS, I am really nervous this time, although I called them to change my address.
