Usually, INS will send every correspondance to your lawyer if a G-28 is filed along with your application. In addition, 1) you can have someone take care of your mail, in case a notice from CIS, forward to you. 2) Usually, interview notice is sent out about two months in advance, you won't miss it.3) Check online status if you can. Anyway, I do not think that one-month trip will have any problem.
