There are two types of presentations in professional conferences, one is poster presentation and the other is oral presentation. Obviously oral presentation carries more weights in demonstrating the impacts of your work. It is a special honor. Opportunity for oral presentation is only given to those who have made significant contribution in their fields. Just only a small fraction of conference attendees were selected to give a talk about their work among thousands of candidates.

I think it is a very good evidence to show the impacts of your work. It is worth to amplify it.
