Need help: Does anyone know the procedure for the cancellation o

Does anybody know the procedure for cancelling Canadian PR status? I have a F1 visa in US now, and hold a maple card. Now I am planning to cancel it. Should I simple bring it to a Canadian consulate in US? Do I need to travel to Canada to do it? Anybody have similar experience? Many thanks!
