My wife just got her H4 visa in Shanghai on January 9 after staying in USA for 8 years. The visa officer ask her only three questions in English: 1. you should be able to speak English since you have been in USA for eight years? 2. Your son is US citizen? 3. Where is your hu*****and living?
We have prepared quite a few materials, but the officer took only the following materials:
1. form-156;
2. form-157;
3. H1b approval notice (original copy)
4. H4 approval notice (original copy)
5. passport with original F2 visa
6. 结婚证.
I fully understand your feeling. Take it easy and go home to visit your parents. You will be fine. Let me know if you have any other questions, I will be glad to help.
