Question about fingerprint for EAD

I just applied for renewal of my EAD by mail. I did not take fingerprint for my previous EAD. Do I need to take fingerprint this time? I know I need if I e-file. I read instruction and they did not mention about fingerprint if you apply via mail. I am I-485 pending at VSC. I would appreciate if anyone can help me with this question.
