Ask for information about Advance Parole, EAD and H1b

I want to visit China soon. My I-485 application is pending (I-140 was approved) and I have valid H1b status. I want to apply for advance parle. My questions are: 1) Do I have to also apply for EAD so that I can legally work after I use AP and return from China? 2) Can I still renew H1b visa after I use AP? I will stay in the same place. Thank you.
