485 pending，已经获得EAD，请问什么才叫“使用EAD”？

我现在是H1B，明年3月底到期，绿卡申请485 pending，两周前收到EAD。我们公司管身份的人让我送一份EAD拷贝给她，说是为了payroll的事情，请问她收到EAD copy之日起算不算构成了我“使用EAD”？因为我还想继续使用我的H1B身份直到3月底，不想过早使用有风险的EAD。谢谢大家！
