Can I go back China when I do a H-1 B transfer

Just got an offer. I have been waiting for quite a while, and thought they might not give me the offer. I already reconfirmed my ticket to back China, and can't cancel it now. I'm wondering if I have to stay in US when I do a H-1 B transfer. Who knows it? Thanks.
