I got H1 visa last July. I landed in Canada three years ago but did not stay there. The Visa Officer asked me how long I stayed in Canada. I told them the truth that I did not stay but intend to come back to Canada after H1 expires. She gave me a two year multiple entries H1 visa. Hope this will help.
