h1b AP. Your advice appreciated

I got my NIW I140 approved and I485 is pending. I am in H1-B status now working as a post-doc for a University.

If I visit China in December 2005, do I need to apply for Advanced Parole (AP)?

If I use Advanced Parole entering the US, can I still maintain H1B status and do I need to apply for an EAD because my I94 will be changed to AOS.

If I can not maintain my H1B status after using AP, can I apply for an H1-B visa to enter the US instead of using the approved AP? If my H1-B visa application is denied, can I still use my AP entering the US?
