1. Don't kid yourself.
2. Either way has silimiar processing time. If you will marry and apply after you get GC, you have to stay in Canada until your spouse's case is processed.
3. Maybe, but again the processing time is similar to that of applying for family-based immigration.

I don't see any huge difference in your case, either way is fine and the total time needed are similar.
