You have to sign a letter to authorize your medical school to release your transcripts, and to sign on the letter confirming your graduation.

You just need those two items from your school.But all these are needed at the final step before your match. With your certified translated diploma, you will get the permit to schedule your exam. But you have to get those two done before ECFMG send you certification.

It is really something between your medical school and ECFMG. Some schools are nasty at their attitude treating this kind of stuff, like the 4th Military medical university I mentioned. I heard from my friend that he spent a fortune going through this.

My school is quite okay. I didn't have that kind of problem.

Some Indian medical schools ask for a lot of money, I heard from a forum. That is too bad.
