OPT question

All those who have similar experience or knowledge about application of OPT, please help. I've filed for Work Permit with I-485 pending. My application was based on my hu*****and's concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485. At the same, as a F-1 student, I'm also completing my thesis and hope to graduate next spring. Can I still apply for OPT even if I get the work permit by that time? Thanks a lot.
