我的理解是如果this receipt 是forI-90, I-485, or I-698 application相关的Biometrics 时（而不是forI-90, I-485, or I-698 application 本身） ，你才需要打电话预约。我九月份刚做过Biometrics，方知好几种类型的申请都需做Biometrics。做之前他们会在书面的Biometrics通知上扫描（有条形码），个人的所有信息都会显现出来（填485时的信息）。所以我认为，等正式通知是必要的。我的通知是在第485一个月后收到的。但愿对你有所帮助。
