4 payments in one check OK?

I included 4 payments in one check for my family I-485 and EAD application, could it cause any problem? If USCIS only accepts part of the application, say i-485, not EAD, will they return my I-485 and check? If that happends, it means my I-485 is not accepted before Oct.1?

Anybody had this experience before?
