To: transferre, EAD interview?

My I140, I485 interview was scheduled and then cancelled by local office. They said they sent my file to center to verify. And few days later, I got email from center said they are sending a RFE to me. So, I thought my file was in center.

It's so confusing, could you explain more? Thanks so much.
