H1签证过期，急问，在线等，WWWWW

我是今年六月分联系的新学校并递交材料办理H1 employee transfer,旧的H1 10月1日到期，但到今天学校的国际办公室还没有向移民局递交材料，还再等劳工局的批件。学校如此低的办事效率导致了我身份的不合法。请问我这样的情况该怎么办？我可以继续以现在这种非法的身份在美国等新的H1签证办下来吗？而以我目前的身份，移民局会受理我新的H1申请吗？我需要回国重新签证吗？谢谢各位多给建议，急
