Please check the expiration date on I-94, if it expires soon, you need to contact your attorney asap. They need to contact loacl INS for immediate correction. Tell them you did show the I797 form to the immigration officier at the airport. They made the mistake, but you are the one who will be punished if you fail to correct it.
