485 ref after 10.1, help

Got email last night asking additional materials. I do not know exactly what CIS needed since the letters are on the way. But I guess it is medical exam ref since we did not do it when we submit the application in this May. Now the question is after today (Oct.1) does 485 case with ref still can be processed or not? Many thanks!
