I think it's better to tell VO the truth, and ask an invitation letter from the Company in US, more importantly, get a surportive letter from your current boss to show that now you are working in Canada and you will came back after interview, as well as your bank bill can prove you can support yourself in Canada. With these documents, usually the VO will issue you a visa.
