Help! Two passports entering U

My parents just got their visa. However, my mom's passport is gonna expire in 5 months, which meas she has to extend her passport. For some reason, China doesn't extend the old passport, instead, they issue a new passport. The problem is, if my mom gets a new passport while the valid B2 visa is on the old passport, will she get into any kind of trouble when she passes the customs upon arrival? Anybody has any idea? Please help. Really appreciate it.
