Service center can update status anytime during the day.
Take my case for example. I checked my I485 case status on line at 5:30pm on 9/13/05, and it said "On 9/13/05, after approving your case, we ordered a card for you ......"

By the way, my spouse's I485 is still pending. Please wish us good luck.
