Thanks for your reply.

I got an offer from a university (I'm currently working in university setting too), the same field. They are willing to sponor me H1B and pay the fees. I suggested them filing an H1 transfer, but they didn't know what H1 transfer meant. I think they're going to apply a new H1.

Also, does dependent need to file a new H4 too?
