Medical examination, NIW

Do we really have to submit the medical exa. form, the employment letter, the bank certificate with the original I-485? My lawyer said none of above is really Nnccesary for the NIW original file. Was told, the Medical Examination could take weeks if unlucky, want to hand in I-485 in two or three days. Also was told Sept, 29 and 30 could be too later, because the CIS even do not have time to open your package. Is this ture?
